What We Do

Three processes. One goal — resolution.

We aim to reduce conflict and expense by facilitating resolution through collaborative processes. Mediation and arbitration are often much faster than court proceedings and give participants more significant control over the outcome.

Understanding Mediation

Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process in which an impartial mediator helps the parties discuss the issues, explore options, and craft their own resolution. The mediator does not impose a decision — the parties stay in control of the outcome. Agreements reached in mediation can be reduced to a binding written settlement.

Understanding Arbitration

Arbitration is a private process in which the parties present their case to an impartial arbitrator who renders a binding decision (the agreement). It is typically faster, more flexible, and more confidential than court litigation, and the agreement is enforceable like a court judgment.

Understanding Parenting Co-ordination

Parenting co-ordination is a child-focused dispute resolution process for separated parents who are subject to a parenting order or agreement. The parenting co-ordinator helps interpret and implement the plan, resolves day-to-day disputes, and — where authorized — makes binding decisions on minor issues, keeping families out of repeat court appearances.
