Defending Your Rights

Provincial Offences Matters

EXCLUSIVE DEFENDANT REPRESENTATION

We represent defendants only. Our Paralegal firm provides focused, conflict-free representation for individuals and businesses facing provincial offences charges across Ontario. With no ties to Crown prosecution, we offer unwavering advocacy for your defence.

UNDERSTANDING PROVINCIAL OFFENCES

Provincial offences differ significantly from criminal charges. Under the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.33, these proceedings reflect "the distinction between provincial offences and criminal offences" with streamlined procedures designed for efficiency. However, your rights remain paramount.

Volume: Ontario processes over 1.5 million provincial offences annually, with Highway Traffic Act violations alone accounting for 82.5% of all charges (1,290,641 charges in 2017). When combined with insurance violations, motor vehicle-related offences represent 90% of all provincial charges.
